Commission Agreement

If you’re interested in commissioning a piece from me, you'll also have to agree to the following conditions. I'll send you an invoice for your piece after I get your form and touch base with you in order for you to confirm your commission and for me to begin work on the piece. Sending payment to reserve your commission slot will be understood as accepting these terms.

I accept USD through PayPal. 50% of payment for the piece is required confirm your slot, and full payment is required to release the final artwork to you. Prices are subject to change, and extra charges may be requested for: Poor or no visual references, complex character designs, a large number of subjects, unusually detailed backgrounds, and other considerations that may significantly increase work time on your piece. I retain the right to reject orders for any reason.

Please do not send any money before your slot is confirmed and I request payment. If for any reason I am unable to begin your piece, or if you cancel your order before I've begun work on it, you will receive a full refund. Do not request a chargeback if you would like a refund. I will transfer the money back myself, and will dispute chargebacks as per the terms of this agreement.

I will notify you once I’ve begun working your piece. Upon notification, you lose your rights to a refund. I will contact you at least once for a review session so we can go over works in progress. I reserve the right to reject revisions. Partial refunds may be given if revisions can't be negotiated in a timely fashion.

Time to finish commissions may vary depending on circumstances and timelines given are understood to be good-faith estimates. I agree to let you know about any work slowdowns and be forthcoming about delivery times. Upon completion, you will receive a full-resolution version of the piece as well as a smaller version for web display. Final images are usually PNGs, unless you request another file format. There is no physical product.

Terms apply to private commissions only and are not applicable for commercial work. I reserve the full rights to the finished image and its use or distribution. I can use the finished piece and any works made in the process including but not limited to sketches, thumbnails, and recordings of the drawing process to promote myself, publish, sell, and display wherever I choose.

You are allowed to use the commissioned piece for personal use, and are free to post it online or print it out. You may not claim the finished piece as your own or make non-trivial alterations without my consent. Drawings include a signature, which you agree not to remove. Commissioned work is not for commercial use. Rights for non-personal use may be purchased separately.

If you break these terms, you forfeit all rights to the piece. If you have questions, comments, or concerns about the agreement, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss them. I look forward to working with you!
